Duties and responsibility:
The Commission is looking for a high calibre candidate to fill the above position.
As an Assistant Manager, you will assist in our participation in (i) international standard setting and policy formulation, (ii) identifying international regulatory issues with domestic implications, (iii) developing local sustainable finance policies, and (iv) advising on positioning strategy.
You will be part of a dynamic team of professionals working with regulators and other stakeholders globally and locally to assist the Commission in implementing its strategy in international standard setting in relation to capital markets and sustainable finance.
Requirements:
To succeed in this position, you must have a university degree and professional qualifications in Finance, Economics, Law or another relevant discipline together with at least 3 years of solid post-qualification work experience.
Familiarity with the principles, standards and regulatory issues initiated by international bodies, including IOSCO and the Financial Stability Board, and major financial markets as well as knowledge of local and international sustainable finance issues (including corporate reporting, carbon markets and green technology) will be an advantage.
You will be expected to have strong communication skills and the ability to effectively present our regulatory positions and interact with regulatory bodies and other stakeholders internationally and locally.
You need to be a team player and to multi-task. You also need excellent written and spoken English as well as proficiency in Chinese.
